This Desitin ointmentcwas purchased for a grandbaby that is allerhic to every type of diapers and materials that touch his skin. The meds the dr. gave them helps when its first put on, then nothing…I purchased the Desotin and it helps the baby get relief for a longer period of time.. Thank you Desitin!!!

Just for babies, I don’t think so. Destin was important applied over my fungal fighter that I applied first to epidermis. Destin helped with itching,and rash blisters. Destin gave a barrier protection like a quick drying band-aid. It does have a slight natural oil smell ,but it’s worth it.

This is a great product to make the skin more waterproof than vaseline. The 4oz size is a good smaller size if used not continually because the fish oil which you can’t smell can still go rancid if the product is opened and not used up. This product stops itchyness that vaseline doesn’t and is good for healing purposes.

worked excellently if a bit messy. Reduced pain and redness quickly, skin healed completely in a few days. I Would definitely buy this again, works equally well on all types of rashes, even if skin is broken. Makes an excellent moisture barrier.

DESITIN! Still as good as I remember!
Ah, yes. Good old diaper cream. Remember it well… Sad to say that it’s 45 years later and now I need it for myself, not the baby! DESITIN works like a charm. Although there is one thing I just do not remember at all. I would have thought I would have remembered if just touching this stuff with cloth of any kind ruined the cloth, i.e., clothing. I don’t remember ever having this issue before. But I sure do now. I guess the only fix is to be ultra careful not to get this cream on anything you ever want to wear again. My biggest problem is transfer from my fingers, even though I wipe, it gets on my jeans, etc. The towels don’t matter but it is highly annoying to have permanent white marks on your clothes. That’s my only complaint. I love Desitin, still works perfectly, does the job. Just watch your fingers…

Very creamy consistency of product. Zinc oxide of 41%. Highest percentage of any product for healing and chaffing purposes. May cost a few dollars more than other ointments but it is well worth it. Saw results within as little as three days

I’ve used Desitin most of my life as a healing ointment for humans and animals, both of which I’ve “doctored.” That includes chickens, dogs, cats, squirrels, raccoons, skunks, and… It contains more zinc than tubes of zinc oxide, and more vitamins A and E than A %26 D Ointment. Of course, I used it on my children from infancy and throughout their lives. It’s one of the best “tools” to have in your medicine cabinet, emergency kit, or ‘go-bag.’ When applied to fresh wounds, it stays put and prevents microorganisms from infiltrating the wound while it heals. I wouldn’t be without it.

I absolutely LOVE the smell of this LOL
I have used this cream with all of my babies. Cloth diapers and disposable. Obviously with cloth you need some type of barrier to protect your cloth diaper, but not a big deal.
Clears up basic diaper rash/redness in no time. If it doesn’t clear up that’s a sure sign you need to consult your pediatrician.
It can easily get everywhere but cleans right off with a baby wipe!

This is the only rash cream I have found to quickly eliminate diaper rash. Make sheer to coat their bum liberally like you are icing a cake and within 24 hours the rash is gone.
