Absolutely Delicious!
I bought this to use in my brand new Espresso Machine. I was a little concerned because I typically don’t like a Dark Roast, I prefer more Medium Roast, but this is absolutely perfect! The lattes it makes with my espresso machine come out very smooth and tasty! Very happy with this purchase.

a delicious robust coffee flavor…
This is worth every penny. I love a potent but NOT bitter coffee taste. Over the years, I found myself adding more and more coffee grounds to the basket to get the stronger flavor (not to successful either). This coffee gives me that rich coffee flavor I have not been able to get from the many brands I have tried. It is good coffee, #1 importance but it is also a VERY fine grind, which helps to release more flavor. WARNING: because of the fine ground that it is, if you overfill the basket, as I did with the first pot (habit from weaker brands), it clogs the filter and a backwash of the grounds entered the pot. You really won’t need to overfill with this delicious coffee. Hope this helps.:)

As good as Starbucks
I buy this for my husband, who’s the coffee drinker in our house. In the past I’ve done Starbucks, which he likes, but it is expensive. I’ve tried a lot of different, cheaper coffees over the years, none of which measure up to his preferred Starbuck, until now. He says the flavor is very good and I like that it’s $3-4 less per bag.

Gevalia, they keep making it better….
Gevalia Dark Gold Roast …, in my opinion, is the best Gevalia coffee yet. I love a strong, rich and bold tasting coffee and this is it. With this I can add a flavored powdered creamer w/o lessening the rich coffee taste, it comes right through.
For now, I have found my cup of coffee. I will however, continue to try any new BOLD, DARK roasts that Gevalia brings to market.
Bonus, you can use less coffee then any other grind.

That fine Gevalia taste, only bolder; 4.5 stars
I give “only” 4.5 stars because I prefer a very bold brew with that signature French “kick” (that higher-acidity bite, bitterness, or whatever the experts will call it). And while Gevalia French doesn’t have much of that, it’s still a great-tasting coffee for those who prefer a bold-yet-mild brew. My sister is a longtime Gevalia-drinker with a sensitive stomach and she loves this stuff. This purchase was money well-spent.

Best coffee flavor I have ever tasted.
This medium/dark mix hits the spot that other more well known brands cannot match. The coffee has a robust but not overly strong taste. No bitter or smoked flavor exists. The aroma that fills the room when brewed is irresistible. This coffee is definitely worth its price.

A Great Reason To Wake Up
My husband and I love a great, dark, rich, aromatic cup of coffee in the morning and Gevalia delivers from the first scoop to the last. It is a little pricey, but is usually on sale somewhere (we always shop Walmart and use their Savings Catcher). Just enjoy the simple pleasure of a truly great cup of coffee.

I love this deep, delicious roast!
This stuff is just GREAT. And Walmart has it at such an incredible price. The flavor is dense and rich without being overly complex. If you like French roasts, you’ll like this… I even prefer it at home to the ‘Bucks I usually buy!!!

Wonderful cup of refreashing coffee.
Great flavor, full bodied coffee. Gevalia has some of the best coffee on the market at a reasonable price. I woul strongly recommend this coffee to anyone.
