This rice is really great. We use it as a quick and easy side for tacos. Also like how it’s lower in calories than other brands.

Much better than I expected
I like the brown rice version and tried this Spanish Rice. I wasnt sure what to expect. It cooked as expected and I àdded a chopped link of hot Italian sausage. I ate all. This is a viable add meat, beans, veges for 5 minute meal.

Great Value v Uncle Ben’s
My girls and I like to “taste test” store brands against their brand name competitor and tonight was this soft taco accompaniment. HANDS DOWN, the Great Value rice was everyone’s preference. It wasn’t clumpy like the UB rice and it was so much more flavorful than the competition.

Great 90 second rice, to make as a side or meal.
What I like about this product is that Great Value doesn’t put in this any junk food items, like are in some of their other instant rice (90 seconds cooking). No MSG, nor any Canola oil (technically Canola Oil isn’t a food grade oil, it’s an industrial oil) but, the human body does process it okay.
In this Spanish Rice the seasonings are great, not overdone nor lacking. I cook it as directions say (it ends up really hot) and I add chili-sauce, or Soy-Sauce depending on my mood, and add Tuna, Salmon or Pulled-Pork, occasionally some chopped green olives or green chilies, to make a well rounded meal for one person. I mix it up right in the microwave bag while it’s hot, and eat it (after it cools a bit, of course), bachelor food prep at its best, wy only the utensil to wash.
I’ve tried others but, I ve stuck with this for the past year, taste and price can’t be beat.
And, I always have one or two in my pantry.

Good for what it is
Tasty enough to order again and have a side to a quick meal. Decent texture and flavor. Not super aromatic but had some mild flavor.
