Energy boost
Very useful for marathon training. Some people like the fruit flavored ones, but I like the chocolate flavored ones. Good to give you a boost of energy when running.

As a marathon runner, I have tried a number of gel brands and find the GU to have the right consistency for a mid-run perk up. The chocollate has a modest amount of caffeine, other flavors have no caffeine if you want to avoid. The 8 count box usually comes at a nice discount to buying individaual gels
