BEST EVER BBQ RUB THAT IS NOT TOO SWEET
This is the best BBQ rub that I have ever tried because it is not sweet and it has a tangy flavor. I rubbed it on and wrapped it up overnight in the refrigerator. The flavor permeated the meat and was extremely great! It made ribs that imitated Dickeys BBQ, which is also extremely good but Dickies is very expensive.

    Oven Barbeque
This is a dry rub that you’re suppose to rub on your meat and refrigerate it for at least 2 hours or overnight. I refrigerated mine overnight. The longer it marinates, the better the flavor. You’re also suppose to slow cook it on a gas grill. I don’t have a gas grill so I cook mine in a 400 degree oven for about 30 minutes and it had that same smoked barbeque flavor that you get if you had grilled it. My son even said that it tasted like it was cooked on the grill. I used this rub on chicken instead of ribs. It came out with a golden brown color. I highly recommend anyone to try this.

    Delicious!
We used this marinade to make chicken and shrimp street tacos. Turned out amazing! Highly recommend this one!

    Delicious!
I seen this marinade from someone on Facebook they combined it though with Kinders “The Steak Blend” so I marinaded the steak I had (overly thick ribeye) probably about a couple hours then sprinkled some of the kinders front %26 back of steak. Because it was so thick I put it in the oven for 20mins the. Seared in stove and AMAZING! Best flavor ever! Smh .. of course thinner steaks you can stovetop or grill but that flavor combo tasted really good. I’d def try it again!

Grill Mates Memphis Pit BBQ Rub, 2.25 oz.
This 2.25 ounce packet of spice mix was just great on the ribs at our barbeque. We had two racks of pork ribs and this one packet of Rub mix was just enough for both. First, you need to rinse the meat with water and then dry it a bit with paper towels to get the excess water off. Then you just put some of the Rub on the meat, patting it into the meat so that it will stick. One thing that the directions called for was to let the meat with the Rub on it sit over night. However, we did not do that. My husband applied the rub to both racks of ribs and then went to get the grill ready. Then he put the racks of ribs right on the grill. It does take a while for the ribs to cook with the Rub on it. This is because the grill needs to be on low so that it cooks but doesn’t burn. However, the ribs tasted absolutely heavenly! Spicey and tangy but, sweet. There is brown sugar in the Rub mixture. Yum! I will be buying this again to try on some chicken or perhaps pork chops. I’ll also be on the lookout for the other Grill Mates flavors so, that I might try those as well.

    dry rub and MMMMMMMMM MMMMMMM
I have never made ribs before but after receiving this rub as an incentive to review from Walmart I gave it a shot. I had the butcher remove the silver skin so all I had to do was rub the ribs with this packet of spices and cook them. I wasn’t able to use my outdoor grill as it has been raining everyday here for weeks so I threw them in the slow cooker and set it to low and let them go for 6 hours while I was at work. When I got home they were ready and all I had to do was put them on a platter to serve. We added a bit of BBQ sauce as we prefer “wet” ribs over dry but not so much sauce as to hide or mask the flavor of the rub. The ribs were very tasty , quite well seasoned and not overly spicy.I would recommend this flavor rub to anyone not familiar with making ribs as it is super simple…all I did was rub the spices over the ribs, place them in a plastic bag overnight( per instructions) and then put them in the slow cooker( the instructions are for over a grill but like I stated> rain made that impossible). The resulting ribs were very succulent, moist and full of backyard bbq flavor. I think I will try these again as soon as the weather permits outdoor grilling…the meat might be dryer but I’m pretty sure the flavor will be just as tasty.
