Soft Sturdy Versatile Rolls
If you enjoy soft and sturdy rolls, you will really enjoy these Sara Lee rolls.
The flavor is very nice, though these rolls are very soft. If you are not a fan of soft rolls, there are options
1 Use them for stuffing, toast, bruschetta, etc
2 Toss rolls into freezer and turn into Thanksgiving stuffing
3 Donate them to a local food pantry or homeless shelter
4 Feed them to the ducks at the park
The flavor is very nice.
They are sturdy.
They are very, very soft
Did not realize just how soft these rolls were going to be. Saw the package and was excited. Upon opening the package and feeling the softness, I groaned. Wasting food is a big no no.
What to do with these without tossing them into the closest bin?
Bingo. Here’s a way to save these. If you prefer something not so soft….
Cut the roll in half.
Slather with garlic butter, shred some mozzarella and bake at 350 until cheese melts and edges turn a nice golden brown.
Or
Remove the inside of the two halves so they look like boats. These rolls are pretty sturdy and removing the inside is pretty easy.
Slather with garlic butter.
Place in toaster until nice and golden brown.
Or
Slice in half, remove inside, toast until golden brown then top with diced tomatoes, fresh basil and mozzarella.
Or slice roll in half, remove the inside until both sides look like boats. Toast and add your favorite toppings
It’s nice and crispy with a good flavor.
Remember Thanksgiving is only weeks away.
The rolls are very versatile because they are soft yet sturdy.
After finding the countless uses for these rolls, these are now one of my pantry staples.

Every time I’ve gotten these, they are wonderful. They are soft and fluffy and one of the best brand name sausage and/or hot dog rolls available. They last a long time without molding as well. Excellent.

Great for larger sausages %26 sandwiches
Sara Lee Artesano Plain Sausage Rolls are great for Polish %26 Italian sausages. They are bigger than regular hot dog buns, so they fit the larger sausages. We use them for Porketta, turkey %26 roast beef sandwiches too.
We have at least one of the Sara Lee bread varieties my house pretty much at all times. I was looking for Texas Toast one day at the store %26 the Sara Lee guy was stocking the shelves %26 he didn’t have any, but suggested the Artesano Bread as a substitute. We liked it so much that we pretty much switched to Sara Lee Artesano after that. We have also tried the Artesano dinner rolls %26 hamburger buns – all taste great!
I definitely recommend trying Sara Lee Artesano Sausage Rolls – along with the other Artesano breads/buns %26 their other regular bread varieties. Sara Lee is a company that I can trust to provide the same quality, taste, value, etc every time I buy a product.
