Skip the gooey stuff…
I use these Poli-Grip strips (1) that I lay across the back of the denture to secure the Sea Bond adhesive wafers I have used since I discovered I am not one who enjoys gunk in your mouth when removing dentures. The denture “paste” leaves you with the task of not only scrubbing your dentures after wear, but scrubbing gooey stuff from my mouth was a one and done for me. I have enjoyed both the strips and the wafers. The Poli-Grip strip (1) across the back of the denture keeps food particles out of your dentures.

I have a upper plate that wasn’t fitting like it used to so I decided to use the strips. I have found that sometimes when I don’t take my teeth out that the Hold last amazingly like two days so it is a great product. I love it.

Stick Like Glue
Had top plate but just got bottom plate – just a temporary for six months which is not a real good fit. Lots of trouble with rubbing and sores. Thought I’d try to see if this would help it stay in place. IT’S FANTASTIC****** I would recommend it to anyone. It’s not like putting the stuff on in the tub and then having trouble cleaning the gunk out at night – it STICKS and you can simply put them in to soak with your cleaner and WELLA….they’re ready to wear in the morning!

I don’t personally use, but buy for loved one. He says that he has issues with the pastes. They cause his heart to race. These strips he doesn’t have to worry about. As far as holding the dentures in, they keep them in nice. However, he says that drinking several hot beverages (he’s an all day coffee drinker) or large bowl of soup makes them not as secure. If he is at home, he’ll let them be loose and take his dentures out right after dinner. If he is out and about or has company, he must redo the strips fresh late afternoon/early evening to avoid any mishaps. Hope this helps.

They work ok. I had a stroke so the use of my left hand is extremely limited. slightly wetting the stripes and putting them on my dentures as opposed to sticking to my fingers was hard. They hold my dentures in place about 8-10 hrs. They come of easy and in my case easier to clean adhesive from my mouth and the denture’s.

So the reason that I didn’t like it is because of the price for the amount that you get 40 does seem like a lot, but you’re using at least three of those strips for each denture top you know and then bottom so they only last a few days but still a great product. I recommend getting it and it’s not messy on you at all. It’s not like a paste.
